i started a quick game and pottery cost 669 beakers compared to 23 for other first tier ancient techs. my guess is this is 10.6.3b related as I have not changed any other mod settings from 10.4 and 10.6.2b.

Oops, sorry about that. I had the pottery thing in there as a check to make sure some other things were scanning properly. Please download v.4, where the problem should be fixed.

where can i find and correct the file without another download?

The mistake was in this file:

VEM - Vanilla Enhanced Mod/Policies/VEP - General.sql

Delete the three lines involving Pottery.

Didn't realize the high number of turns listed in v106.3b to research Pottery was just a typo, so I was busily restarting my game over and over, turning other mods on & off, etc., trying to figure out what I'd done wrong.

Glad to hear it was just a typo.
