We already have something like this in FfH but we have not yet balanced the new system.
As we have developed this independently its good for double checking. So how many code changes have you? I needed changes on 6 places.
Ah ok. I used another way to accomplish it. I changed the damage that is saved so that it actaully saved damage in %. This way big cities (high defense) also need longer to repair their damage.
Did you consider changing the damage of Air_Bombardement as well (For bombers the old system applies with your code).
Check this post on the CCP Ollius, we have some extensive discussion about Options methods and how they will be displayed to the user. My current preference is full blown GAME_OPTIONS boolean but this has the downside of not apearing on the Cusomgame Options screen due to idiotic hardcoding on Firaxis part (hopefully this can be changed in the future). The user can still activate the feature by setting it to default true in XML before starting the game, it will then be stamped on any game they start and function like other Game Options.
This is the type of thing which is just makes complete and absolute sense. To me it is incomprehensible why Firaxis didn't make work this way from the start.
It seems that the link is down. When I try to download it tells me that there is a DNS lookup error. Does it need to be uploaded to the new download center thing? If so I would really appreciate it if you could do that.
