This is a re-modification of the World War II 1939 scenario. My aim is to add a little more detail to the German campaign. it is far from complete so i am looking for help scripting events, new ideas, art etc.. to incorporate into this project. Pictures are worth a thousand words so please scroll thru below of some of the ideas i have incorporated into this project..

For anyone that is interested:

I am open to ideas such as features,units etc that anyone would like to see in this re-mod
I am looking for any experts on modeling, there are some fine details on some units i need to adjust
Anyone knowledgeable on modding city art work,
 
1933 Start, allows you to build up your industry and armed forces and government ,




My idea is to have units for a selection of prominent figures that can establish government building or ministries that will of coarse provide a benefit of some sort. or these building can create other units that might be able to create other buildings and so on.

Here is an example of a sequence:

Fuhrer unit- can establish National Socialist Party headquarters- which can create NSDAP members- which can spread ideology or establish National Socialist Party regional headquarters- which can provide a city benefit and build the Reich labor service--

Reichsführer-SS was a special SS rank that existed between the years of 1925 and 1945. Reichsführer-SS was a title from 1925 to 1933 and, after 1934, became the highest rank of the German Schutzstaffel (SS).

National Socialist Party Members - able to spread ideology and establish "National Socialist Party regional Offices"

Reich labor Service- uniformed worker unit

Buildings also provides national benefits (still working on)

General government administration unit- This unit can build General government offices in occupied territories which will can reduce rebellion, create POW laborers

Units recruit-able in certain territories, Not every city can create all your units. Example Wehrmacht are trained at a few select cities, one training facility for "Original" Waffen SS, Nordland available in Scandinavian territories. Latvian legion in latvia and so on. by the time you reach Stalingrad you will be depending on Hungarian, Romanian and other build-able troops in that region to support you army group. of course these units will not be as strong


Regional units:

SS Nordland
Hungarion volunteers
Russian Liberation army
Latvian Legion
Ukranian volunteers

Same concept for armor, planes.
You must have a tank factory to produce tanks, airplane factory for planes and so on.
Factories will be more expensive and limited

Each nation will have its own custom unit artwork. No generic infantry. Most i have created, some i borrowed. Polish soldiers should look different than french soldeiers etc..

Rebellion should be a constant threat in occupied territories , need scripting for this
 
Bigger Map

units are more valuable since there are production and logistical considerations to account for. Example if you conquer minsk you will not be producing the German Heer in that city, however you might be able to produce Ukranian or russian volunteers, which of course will not be as strong as your valuable german Wehrmacht trained in Germany.
 
Each nation should have city artwork reflective of that region, i have incorporated city artwork form LOR mod.
I have created new European style buildings however i need someone that is knowledgeable on modifying city art. My new buildings are currently added as flavor building that are build able, i would like for them to appear as the city expands. my idea is that all the building should have the same theme or style

*also notice a national ensign in each that will change to the occupier flag

the German war industry relied on forced labor. POW laborers will be available in conquered territories and can build war production facilities that your normal workers cannot

When you train a basic Wehrmacht infantry unit you should be able to upgrade that unit to fight in a desert region and thus channel the units uniform to the afrika korps. or perhaps later you move this experienced unit to the eastern front, you should be able to upgrade this unit to a winter warfare unit which of course would change its uniform to winter smocks. Unfortunately i cannot get this to work correctly. If anyone could figure this out that would be great.
 
Ok, I'm kinda impressed by the sheer level of detail on this.
 
Going by the map size, it looks like there will be more than 18 Civs in your mod. Which means, it can't be played on a Mac:(. You know, the DLL-file mustn't be touched, if it's supposed to be working on a Mac. Making it Mac compatible, would mean much less work: The idea to give desert ability promoted units get desert uniforms accordingly or limit unit training to regions sound very nice, but, I'm sure, need the SDK. I could dispense with innovative features like these, no matter how good they are, if I could play the mod at all. I would maybe miss your best ideas (or the entire reason, why you're doing the mod;)), but at least I'd get some of it. How about offering two versions, one fully developed and one Mac friendly?
 
I never understand why Mac users don't simply get an antiquated PC solely for playing CivIV. I would, its not like used computers are expensive or anything.

:D I'm thinking about it… But, no.

You see, we can't do that because of solidarity with a company called Aspyr, who does the porting to Mac IV and V, and because we like them so much, even though they forgot to provide full modding support and cross platform mod compatibilty for the Mac version.
