I'm playing warlords, on continents standard size, classic era, including barbarians, with 2 other humans and 3 ai's ffa later today, wich civ would be best to go for, I like being agressive and killing off ppl who are in my way so i think militaristic is the 1st choise, but dont know about 2nd, financial sounded good but i like some others too, also wich UB and UU?
In short wich Leader?

Also any hints? I know to go for copper asap and to leave unneccesary research, and only go for the essential ones...

In sp I'm used vs Noble ai's and occasionally in 1vs1 prince...

I've played mp before btw, but not vs real humans, but with humans on a team vs ai only...

best way to learn is to play with others that are willing to give you tips and hints. What leader to chose is obviously down to personal preference. I like mansa / ragnar / haniball / wang best myself but others love expansive or philosophical. It all comes down to what kind of game you want to play. You should read the guides on different traits in the strategy article section if you have no clue about it...

Kublai Khan is pretty good for multiplayer. Creative to allow for best city placement early and aggressive for better axes, plus keshiks for pillaging, which is much stronger in mp than sp.

Augustus and Cathy are both pretty good too. Creative + mining means fast access to copper...

Zulu is THE civ for Ancient and Classical MP in Warlords 2.08. Pick Zulu!

Makes sense. Ragnar has an awesome UU, even on pangaia( 10% extra city attack+2 promotions? sign me up!). His UB does rely on costal cites, but since you're finacial, settling on the coast is OK. Run a CE with the financial trait, and keep a multifaceted garrison in all your cities so you can deal with pillagers.

Zulu hands down. Once you pick up good skills in multiplayer people will complain about your impis constantly.

And as kind of evidence that zulu is one of the best civ, people will often complain on how "cheap" and "beginner" the zulu are, while its totaly the reverse.

If you really want a cheap civ go for inca and build only quechas as you start and go for a skilless victory.

If you play on a standard or bigger map take a financial civ as you cant keep everyone pinned down with your military alone and some of your rival may outtech you.

Yes, zulu's would make an excellent choice in multiplayer so long as you are able to deny your opponent(s) metal. Pretty much nothing they can do at that point,

There is actually a way to escape from being camped by impis. Make 2-3 archers, a settler and a warrior. Save enough money to upgrade the warrior, settle on the copper and upgrade the warrior. TADA! piles of dead impis on the porch. Only problem is that you will fall behind eventually because you had to build a couple archers and couldnt chop/improve at will.

... Or simply sneak a settler out.. But thats a risk.
