Preflight check: Yep, scout left a mess However, that doesn’t really bother me. The only thing that I don’t like is all the 4 unit army’s, but I think we’ll be alright for now. Well, I take that back, found 3 cav armys with only 3 units in them. Sorry.

IBT:

T1: 1495AD Move stuff, rr, get ready for Japan

T2: 1500AD Load 2 3 unit army’s and 4 cavs, move out for Japan. Rush some temples.

T3: 1505AD Declare on Japan, dropping off 2 army’s and 4 cav.

IBT: Korea declares war on us and lose 1 cav during the sneak attack. The IBT takes forever, as every single wltkd ends.

T4: 1510AD Kill a seemingly unlimited supply of spears and archers @ Tokyo but fail to take it (12 total kills).
Capture the Korean town of Sariwon on the former Mongol island, causing the Aztecs to declare as well.
Kill an Aztec MDI near New Tsingtao (old, small Carthage island).
People are still happy so I don’t have to adjust sci slider.
Rush a couple of Galleons on our main, southern coast so we can reinforce the large Carthage island.

IBT: Koreans MA with Vikings against us a little late guys. Koreans drop off 2 cav, 1LB, and 1 rifle near Cadiz. We only have 3 cav on this island of 2 towns.

T5: 1515AD Kill 3 more archers and we finally take Tokyo. Drop off 12 more cav’s. Kill 9 spears and 7 archers, getting 1 MGL, and take Kyoto.

IBT: Lose Hippo and Cadiz (1 musket and 1 cav) as well as a Frigate. Koreans drop off 2 cav’s, 1 rifle, and 1 crusader between Gozberg and Rusicade.

T6: 1520AD Kill 3 spears and take Osaka. Kill a bunch of junk outside Kyoto. Reinforce where I can but much of our islands near Korea are lightly defended. Gozberg will fall next turn.

IBT: Gozberg captured as well as Teayo. Army is Osaka gets beatup but we hold.

T7: 1525AD Recapture Hippo, costing us 2 cav’s. Kill a cav near Gozberg, costing us 1 cav. Take Edo and Kagoshima, now @ 65%.
Drop off 16 cav’s for near Copenhagen (Vikings) for fun
Kill some more Japanese junk near Osaka and get MGL Qianlong. Form Dr. Quincy’s Army

Several temple expansions next turn might do it if we don’t lose anymore towns.

IBT: A cultural expansion @ Ching-Chong wins it! How fitting

great game gent's, lot's-o-fun all around, even when we lost on the 1st try keep an eye out for 3 grams sometime after the weekend.

Fun game! I'm thinking continent or even pangea next to really use the horse trait (no ships required) and up the level a bit.

Nice job everyone. I was waiting for Korea to finally take a stab at us. Too little too late. No save? I was looking forward to adding this to my HOF. No chance at an auto-save is there?

Anyhow, I had a blast playing with y'all. Between this game (and the 1st try, geesh) and DGIT3, I feel I've come a long way. I'm actually amazed at how easy it is to keep up with the AI at higher levels in games where there are a lot of battles. It seems to really tie up the AI. I'm still amazed at some of the tactics y'all come up with. I'd love to play with any and all of you again at some point. But I'm going to have to pass on Gram 3 for now. Too much going on at home at the moment to try and play multiple SG's. No to mention that too many SG's do not make for a happy wife. But maybe in a few months things will settle down... Thanks for allowing me to come along for the ride!
