Hi all. After a hiatus of playing, I'm picking the game up agian.
I'm playing the DVD version from Sold Out Software. I DL'd the 1.02 patch (unsure if I patched it before) and installed it and now when I try to run it I get the "Install CD2" message. I restored the folder from a backup I had and it runs OK.
Anyone know if the patch only works for the CD version or if doubly patching it messes things up? How can I check which version I'm running?
Secondly, (now this is odd), when I make a new game, my choices are to sign with the French, Spanish, Engish and Pirate. The Dutch seem to have changes to pirates, but it's the regular Dutch guy. In game, the Dutch Flag flies over St. Martin which is identified as a pirate stronghold. It also is affecting old saved games. When I was playing a year or so back, I tried out some mods, but I can't figure how that might do it. Any thoughts?
