Vladimir Putin - Charismatic, Protective

Tony Blair - Charismatic, Imperialistic

George W Bush - Imperialistic, Moronic (-10% Research, -15% Great People Points, +20% War Weariness)

Barack Obama... Don't know enough about this guy any suggestions?

Obama also could be Charismatic and Imperialistic, but for difference... Maybe Creative and Philosophical? (I like US again because of him and helped me to believe that.... WE CAN :D )
Putin 1 trait should be aggresive (everyone knows reason).

Angela Merkel - 1st will be Financial, 2nd.... hmmm... might be Organized..

None of them deserve traits. :/

dishonest, greedy for all of them.

Yeah I was thinking Agg for Putin, but unless I'm mistaken Russia diddn't actually invade anyone under his rule? Just a lot of shady brutal repression. Nothing new there then for Russia.

There are a lot of purists that think there shouldn't even be any 20th century leaders in the game. My opinion on the four you listed is that none of them are nearly "great" enough (be it greatly good or greatly bad) to ever be included in a Civ game. OP, was your post serious or were you just sniping about Bush?

EDIT: About Putin, wasn't he in charge when Russia invaded Georgia- or was that Medveddevvvdvedd (slight spelling error)? Either way, Putin was running Russia...

As serious as I can be talking about bestowing rules for a computer game on real life people. I agree that the ones I mentioned probably aren't worthy of inclusion but this is just a bit of fun. Thing is with Putin though is that he's ridiculously popular at home and Russia has prospered under his iron fist, despite his very dubious methods.

Hi, I'm new here. Amazing forum and community BTW, I have been learning a lot since I first started reading it.

OT: yesterday I just downloaded and started a game of Earth 2010 mod and scenario. I think it's really well made and very interesting. It features Obama, Putin, Merkel and many more (I think there are 32 civs in the map). I don't remember their traits right now.

Bye

They fought against Georgia.

Then again they justify it by saying USA would do the same if California or Texas succeeded and left the Union.

FYI Putin and Bush are already Leaders in the Mod Civ Gold.

Anyway I'd say there.......

Putin = Aggressive, Protective
Blair = Agreed with your picks.
Bush = Aggressive, Spiritual
Obama = Financial, Philosophical or Financial, Industrious

:) I like your picks, see where you're coming from with Bush being spiritual, never thought of that, still I think I prefer moronic for him

And how can you not give Putin the charismatic trait? Have you not seen this...

...erm ok, maybe not :D

Oh Good Lord. Bush as Spiritual? Even worse, Obama as Financial, Philosophical or Industrious??? He is the antithesis of any of these traits. How about Arrogant, Corrupt?

Actually, given the traits we have in game, Bush, Blair and Obama all are best described as Aggressive, Imperialist. I cannot think of another in-game trait which has the slightest application to any of them.

Cha for blair is obvious. Like him or not (I'm no fan) the guy had charm and he dominated his opposite number in prime ministers questions for years.

Off topic slightly, what is the consensus (if there is one) for Hitlers traits?

I'd say Cha + Agg

Yah. I thought about that for him. And Obama too.

One thing I like about the Parliamentary system is that our overlords are actually forced to think on their feet. Obama is consistently pathetic when he is not reading from a teleprompter.

Off topic by about 1000 years now... William the Conqueror (aka William the Bastard)?

Agg + Exp?

Yup, I'd go with CHA/AGG.

Don't know about William the Conqueror...

Well it's a war game and the Civ leaders are in there because they were great statesmen, good and bad, during horrible times of war and death on continental scales. But the world's been going relatively light on such mass destruction lately, so let's be happy we have no realistic new Civ leaders, and that it remains a game firmly rooted IN HISTORY!

If anything modern leaders would be better included as great merchants, or at least artists in some cases to honour their acting skills

Steve Jobs - Imperialistic/Protective

I don't really like that dude, but I would say he comes much closer to beeing a historical "leader" figure, than any of the muppets that are in politics these days.
