3.19 Patch BtS - Disk Space Error

Hi,

In trying to install the 3.19 patch for BtS, I recieve the error:

"There is not enough disk space to install these option(s). Please free up some disk space or modify your selections"

There is over 100 Gb free on my C: drive which is where the game is installed and is the drive for the OS (Vista). I have had no problems with other patches.

Any of you guys have an idea to fix this?


Also, is there a way to point the patch instal to the right folder and stop the automatic detection?

Also, is there a way to manually instal the patch files myself?

which drive is your my documents folder on?
I don't know of a way to switch the automatic detection off - and have been unable to extract the patch manually.

My system has two HDD partitions:
C: and D:. BtS is installed on D:.

again: (assuming windows is on c: how much space is there on c:? i.e. on the partition that has your my documents folder?

Empty space? Some 20 gigs or so.

the reason I ask is that the installer checks both the partition where civ4 is installed for space and the my documents partition - usually this problem occurs when either one is out of space. However there is the possibility that the my documents folder is write protected - is it? are you installing with admin rights?

What disc, are we talking about the patch here?

I have experimented with decompressing the patch file and copying the files manually. I think that for at least one person it seemed to work. Perhaps you want to try that if you're desperate.

But first I guess you should try to deinstall and reinstall.

for some reason I had this as the actual game install not working when I posted last time - sorry for that. Yeah and what crunch says.
