3 months in - too much indignation

and continue to do my part in educating future consumer away from the franchise and do all sort of brow beating.

And I will do this for my own entertainment, so I won't get tired of it.
Ironic coincidence...I wasn't going to buy CiV due to Steam (which I despise). However, I did read all the negative feedback on the forums and couldn't believe Firaxis would release a broken game. So..I bought it to see for myself. And...yes the game is terribly broken, especially the poor UI, glitches and such. Still, it has its moments and I don't regret buying it.

If you want to be treated like an adult, act like one.
Or...I AM an adult and will be treated accordingly. Having said that...adults behave poorly all the time. I guess my point being, adults should always treat other adults AS adults...it's the only way to keep the peace.;)

Well, there's the demo you now...

1. Civ V has problems
2. The Civ series has possibly the most loyal and passionate fan base of any computer game ever
3. Because so many people love the series so much, many people get worked up when something seriously disappoints (with most other games, a disappointment would result in :twitch: "meh" ). The opposite of love is not anger, it is indifference.
4. All true fans will react. Some with politeness, some not so much. Personally, I am deeply grateful for the literally countless hours of enjoyment the series has given me over 20 years for a relatively tiny investment. For that reason, I am inclined to express my feelings of moderate disappointment with a restraint and courtesy seasoned by gratitude (yes I know they are in business, but they could have invested their capital in making ball bearings or deodorants).
5. Also, I am grateful that other people generally don't greet my numerous well-intended screw-ups with blistering scorn.
6. I'll continue playing Civ V until Civ VI arrives (sooner rather than later, I hope).
