Recently seen some screenshots of 3000 and 2000 SPT around turn 150 to 200.
Anyone care to explain how this is done?
My game is obviously really poor, however...
Why are we able to get over 3000 Science Per Turn by turn 150?
This game is seriously broken!
Worse than I realized.

Culture.
-Gets you envoys.
-Also gets you corps and armies to carry on with warring and opportunities to liberate city states for free envoys.
-Also gets you to globalization which gets you the Int'l space station policy card (+10% science per CS suzerian).
-Cold war as well for the containment policy card.
If you want the high end of the range you'll need to do more than build the occasional campus district when the mood strikes you. Otherwise I think building theatre squares and high adjacency campi internally added to campus districts in the areas you conquer should do the trick ;).
Oh yeah, and projects.

Thanks for the responses.

Anyone care to explain overflow in greater detail?
Perhaps you have a link to a thread that explains it better for Civ VI.
How does it work exactly?
Are you able to burn a GS with a series of 1 turn techs again?
Does it work for the Civics Tree as well?
Can you also explain how production overflow and chops work exactly?
I read something that claimed 5000 production chops in the Late Game before Magnus Nerf.
Many tricks in this game I do not understand.
Funny how I never seen a video of players dominating the game as they do on Civfanatics.

Youtube or Twitch is completely a different world and basically false information.
I never see anyone actually teach how to go about finishing games so fast.
Nor do you see information on how to obtain 2000 to 3000 Beakers per Turn by turn 150.
Perhaps I have just missed it.
Anyone have a link?

The game is not fun for me when I realize how poor my knowledge is.
I did not realize it was so easy to obtain 2000 Beakers by turn 150.
Come to find out that 3000 Beakers is possible just bothers me.

A campus has perhaps 2 adjacent on everage, doubles with a card = 4 BPT
A library worked by a citizen with 2 science CS = 8 BPT
A university worked by a citizen with 2 science CS = 10 BPT
You will get scientists that help that, maybe on average 3 BPT
So a city without any other modifiers gives 25 BPT.

20 cities = 500 BPT

Any city with 10 pop gets 50% with the rationalism card
Any city with 3 raw adjacency gets 50% with the rationalism card
Kilwa Kiwisani gives 15% with 2 science suzerain
Trading cards giving science also help
Science projects also help
All up about 1000 BPT is roughly the aim but many more cities can give much more and gets you up around 1500 BPT sometimes.

If you have taken out most of the competition then you can normally be suze of 10 CS. With the international space station that is 10% per suze so you are now at 2000-3000 BPT.

Getting to globalisation is a problem, the secret is to push the moon landing. The moon landing gives you a 1 off culture bonus of 10 times you science output for that turn. So, if you are current on 1000 BPT and land on the moon you get 10,000 culture. For every project chop you do in that turn you also get 10x it’s science value in culture. This whopping amount of culture can get you up to globalisation in a few turns.

You have to concentrate on science heavily... but also culture to a degree, a eurekas and inspirations are all important.

I’ll do overflow later... or someone else feel free, I have to go out to dinner now. Ba

I've seen some players save 6 to 8 Great Scientists and Pop them within in a few turns.
Mix all of that knowledge with the list Victoria just posted and it gets a little difficult for most of us mortals.
I was happy with 1000 Beakers before turn 200 but I now realize that is mere child's play.
3000 Beakers before turn 150 seems impressive to me.
Especially when any video, you watch online with this game, has nothing even close to that.

I am playing GOTM 53 ATM and it is a perfect fast science victory game on deity. A really fun game but yes it gets very busy as you take more cities. Maybe I record it, the trouble is each turn just gets so long.

The 6 to 8 great scientists popped in a turn sound like the vanilla strategy.

Ok so overflow as @DanQuayle mentioned. This is not some big secret extra thing but really just clarification and qualification of a couple of areas.

You can get immediate extra culture and science gains through eurekas and pillaging. Both of these reset overflow.
What this means for science victory is when I land on the moon I get 10000 culture for example. This is much more that I need for my next culture tree discovery so the rest overflows to the next culture tree discovery. This all works fine until you get a culture inspiration or pillage a theatre or culture tile like silk or quarry. Doing these thing will reset that huge culture overflow you gained. You must avoid this. Additional science will not reset culture though, also culture will not reset science.

So you finally make it to the international space station and you are now on 2000 science per turn but you have 20 science discoveries to get. Let’s say the first one needs 100 science and the second one needs 200 science. You are making 2000 science per turn so on turn 1 you discover the first and get 1900 overflow to the next one which costs 200 the next turn. This completes the next turn and your overflow for the third turn is now 3700 science. As long as you get no eureka nor pillage a science tile like a mine or mercury you overflow snowballs so every science is discovered in 1 turn each.

@Victoria Sounds similar to the Civ V science overflow bug.

I played a game as Gorgo for some fun.
Not really focused on a Victory Type.
Just Warmongering along and trying to understand District/Wonder placement better.
At least trying to put them in a cluster.
I didn't do great but better than I usually do with placement.
Sort of worked on only the Capital and First Expo.
Not ready to get some mega city adjacency from 6 or 7 cities.
I guess I should of put my Capitals Campus next to the mountain but for some reason I just messed up.

I just went kinda slow Warmonger taking all cities instead of just blitzing Capitals.
One problem I have with Domination is taking all cities which slows me down.
I haven't been very good at rushing Capitals Only.
Anyways... my SPT wasn't anything special and I was around the same mark as the Gilgamesh GOTM game.
However I did have better Culture this game because it is Gorgo.
I got to Globalization at turn 198 and I know that is late compared to better players.
It was pretty mind blowing when I went from 950 SPT to 1,736 SPT when I put that 10% card in.

The screenshot shows Democracy but I already researched Communism awhile back.
This is the turn I finished off Globalization which is late but quicker than usual since I didn't focus on it or know how powerful it is.
All Golden Ages this game which isn't the Norm for me.

I hardly ever build wonders or grow population but this game I tried...
I managed to build Wonders in Sparta, Rhodes and Pharsalos.
I built and took some others in other cities.

KK
SoL
Eiffel
Forbidden
Colo
Cristo
Taj
Angkor

Not sure what is good to build or not but I was just trying to get some built compared to my usual WTH style.

I guess I should of removed the sheep and put a district on that plains hill as well.

Thanks for the pointers everyone!

I do essentially the same thing now-a-days. As I'm not overly concerned with victory times per se, I find the hybrid CULTURE/science game to be more enjoyable than the ~SCIENCE~ game as I can have my proverbial cake and eat it too (much to Catherine de Medici's dismay I'm sure). I think Victoria's post from a Korean 6otM opened my eyes to this strategy.

French cake metaphor cypher: "Let them eat cake."

Would it still be possible to record the GOTM 53?
Sure, I guess so. Never done it before but I downloaded OBS half a year ago. The main issue is time and there is the small issue of tonight I did something that will have nasty repercussions over the next few days. Be patient and I'll try and find time. A bit cut up ATM, 18 year olds can be complete self destructive idiots.

My way was not the most efficient but should give you ideas, the main issue is I hate management of that many cities.

Look forward to your recording.
I struggle with many citiescomparedto CIV V.

Sorry no help with teenagers, hope all is resolved.
