This idea came up in one previous thread, and in my mind also. So I'm asking: is this a dead end, or would somebody have some use for an unit that looks like this:

its nice, especially the head, but the whole unit is way too big and the sword looks a bit cartoonish (i opt for a "normal" one, or hammer/club)

In my opinion aaglo, it looks like another one of your great giant units! Which is this again, number three or four? I for one like the sword you gave him, and the shield is a nice touch to. :D

Awsome:goodjob: I love the shield.

Hades was a god, not a monster

He look so cool, do continue with this unit! :goodjob: :goodjob: :)

Well,Hades may not have been a monster, but he sure did do some pretty bad things (enough to have him qualify as a Monster in Training :D). Personally, I think aaglo did an excellent job converting Greek god into Civ3 unit, same with Neptune/Poseidon. :goodjob:

Id say go for it Aaglo. The unit looks great so far, and could possibly have some use as a Fire Giant or something equivalent

After Tomainia mod I'll possibly start to work with a sort of retro industrial nostalgic fantasy kind of thingy mod where, if I can find a way, I'd love to use all your divine units. Even though I like these animations very much I can't find any other ways to use them.

Thank you for your comments! ;)

Embryodead,
this is only a preview pic of this 'thing', so it'll be scaled down for the flics ;) And the sword will look better in smaller pics. Besides this unit ows a lot to a Norse god (?) Surtur - it has a fiery sword and those goat-horns.

xghost,
this is third so far. :p

xen,
I've not called this unit a 'monster'. ;) :p (rather giant... but that's not necessarily a monster.. ;) )

computerdude113,
As far as I know, this is a public domain, and everything posted here are 'free game', given that the posted items are legal and approved in every way. ;) So go ahead. I couldn't stop you even if I wanted to.

Normally, I would expect that, but there are some tendencies to oversize units recently... I just prefer units not too exagerrated ;)

I just got an idea. You could make the wind giant an air unit. It could sit on a cloud. Then we would have a offencive giant(lava) deffencive(clay) seagiant(neptun) and air(wind giant).

Don't size it down, the size is perfect.:goodjob:

NO! if jesus(or a figure important to the religion you worship) did a few "bad" things would you considewr him a monster?-i dont think so
P.S- i think you are getting the greco-roman god confused with the christian ideal of hades, couse in religio Romana/Grecia the only bad thing he did (aside from being a general hard ass, but thats not evil...) was the abduction of persepone, i suggest you read the "myth"

Whoa! Didn't mean to get you so worked up man! I was just joking about Hades being a 'monster in training' and all that, but you know, abducting Persephone wasn't the only horrible thing he did. You must remember, this was the god who gave mortals their eternal punishment. He forced people to do outrageous things for just a minor sin (if the Greeks had that word). I can't think of any examples off the top of my head, but I'm sure once I drag out that old Greek-Book-of-Mythology I have I'll find a few.
:D

Oh yeah, aaglo, YodaPower has suggested you create a wind and I think a clay giant. Have you thought about an ice giant and a cyclops prehaps, or have these already been done?
