Turn 119 Domination Victory, 667 Score. Sigh. I captured my second Harbor before I finished my second Galley, so I could cross deep water but couldn't embark units. Sindbad wasn't quite enough to establish a beachhead all by himself so I waited as turns ticked away while I hard researched Shipbuilding.

It was fun capturing capitals with the Monkey King though. Thank you for the game.

Domination VIctory, turn 130, 772 Score.

Well, as previously stated I built my military on ranged units, which proved quite slow on this map for a quick domination win. I captured the last city on turn 102 on my continent and was able to cross the ocean on the same turn, so half my army moved westwards and captured the Inca, while the other half moved east and captured spain.
I thought I could take the only canadian city with heroes only, but of course I forgot -as I always do- that you cant declare a surprise war on Canada. So I had to wait 5 turns and my heroes lifespan ran out, before I could take Ottawa. Had to move my army from the Inca south and lost a few turns in the end.

Nontheless a fun game and probably my quickest domination win.

ps: I forgot to save the game after I won and I don't want to play the last turn again, since it shows up as another game/win in the ingame history. So I`ll just attach the save from the start of round 130, I hope that is ok.

Domination t137 score 825
Insane tech actually hurt some, as building advanced units was too slow. And more importantly, it diverted me to my builder tendencies chasing eurekas and making useless districts. The warfare was ridiculously easy... Sinbad filled my coffers then took Madrid with help from a single galley. Arthur took all the capitals on my continent - not necessary, but fun. Levying CS with Oya was less useful since CS only had contemporary units and were slow-moving. Lost a couple turns forgetting that you need to denounce Canada 5t before declaring war... ok, only 2 turns lost on that. Vampire for the kill.

Too many goodies in this one to keep focus. Should have just done enough to get Cartography and Arthur if speed was the only thing to concentrate on.

Domination Victory T100

I am pretty satisfied of this one but I made huge mistakes that cost me a sub 100. Unlocking Cartography without Shipbuilding is useless., your land units can't naviguate without this tech. I lost easilly 10 turns because of this mistake. My strategy was to use heroes such as the Twin brothers and Sinbad and to levy city-states armies. I used Magnus x3 and chopped 5-6 horses in the capital.

I used my main army on the main continent and Mitla levied army on the other one, captured a city from Spain, gold-buy units and wait Cartography for the last run on Maya and Canada capitals.

The game was pretty fun tho.

T80, Domination Victory

- What did you prioritize for research and policies?
Research priorities: AH-17, HB Riding-18, Sailing-26, Shipbuilding-48, Cartography-60
Polices: Disciple, UP; then Agoge, Maritime, & Maneuver used; Strategos got me a great general on T78 that never saw combat

- Did you bother with Culture?
Yes, to get to Oligarchy

- How did you pump your military?
Policy cards for faster building & a little chopping; pumped out Sabum Kibittum early, 2 galleys, Horsemen as I could, 2 Heroes; levy CS’s; other stuff built to include heavy chariots and a Knight, but they never saw combat

- Were City-States helpful?
Very much so; sadly wasted most of Himiko, using 3 charges to Suz & levy Ngazargamu
Levies: Ngazargamu-68, Singapore-69, Mohenjo-71
Captured: Hattusa before 2nd war with Scottland as it was in my way

Spoiler Surprise :

- Any surprises you ran into, how did you deal with it?
1) Before I could do my main war with Scotland, he built a Horsemen so had to really hold off as I only had Sabum Kibittum in the area. I was waiting for the Hero he had stationed in the capital to leave. Ended up with lots of military out of position that basically did nothing but fight barbarians and eventually came in with the Hero Arthur and Questing Knights (converted from horsemen).
2) I thought I would find more CS’s when I reached the other continent. Slowed me down as I was unable to fully utilize Himiko’s charges and I couldn't get additional forces there fast enough for a quicker victory. Promoted 2 units to Swordsmen while visiting Ngazargamu for advance on Canada while Himiko rallied the troops to ensure the Mayan capital fell prior to dying of old age. Canada capital held out for an extra 100 years (4 turns) beyond all other civilizations.

- Did you enjoy the game?
Absolutely, domination is still my favorite victory condition and fun to be able to play one

-What do you think of the new civ and patch?
Love it, really like Babylon, especially with the December patch changes.

Spoiler Additional Details :

-Always bought open borders when I met someone to be able to position my military easier. Traded luxuries and resources when gold was more important for me. Only had one joint war with Canada vs Spain. Only eliminated Spain.

Other civilizations (in order met):
MAORI – met 15, war 38, capital 39, peace 65 (tried to capture other city, but 4 archers held me back; gave up trying and eventually gave him gold for peace after a galley started chasing some of my land military units in the sea)
SCOTLAND – met 15, war 31 (for settler), peace 41; war 73, capital 76
ZULU – met 33, war 48, capital 53, peace 58
SPAIN – met 63, war 64 (joint with Canada for big gold trade), capital 73
CANADA – met 64, denounce 64, war 78, capital 80
MAYA – met 67, war 73, capital 76
INDONESIA – met 69, war 73, capital 76

Early builds:
Babylon – SIP; Sabum – 8; Builder – 8 (tribal village); Settler – 18; Scout – 21 (tribal village); Monument – 25; Trader – 34 (gold); Sabum – 27,29,31,33,35,37,39,41,43,45; Gov Plaza – 50; Horsemen – 54; Sabum – 56,58,59; Horse – 62; Builder – 69 (gold); Hero Arthur-70; Horse - 72
Mashkan – 26 (4SW of Maori capital); Tile – 26 (horses); Monument – 29 (gold); Sabum – 30,34; Hero Himiko – 38; Build – 42,50 (gold); Galley – 43,48; Harbor – 60; Quadrireme – 67
Eshnunna – 35 (captured Scottish settler; west of Scotland) Subum – 41,45,50,54,58,62,66
Te Hok… - 39 (captured) Harbor – 59; Monument – 67; I was able to swap the horse tile to build this harbor faster, but I couldn't swap it back to Mashkan - I guess you can swap your tiles to an occupied city, but can't swap tiles from an occupied city

DomV T76

Techs
T18 AH, HR
T48 Shipbuilding
T49 Cartography

Strategy
Chopped Himiko in Kupe's capital and swam her to the other continent
Built Apadana and HG in capital just in case

Heroes
Hercules
Himiko
I discovered all heroes and none were recruited by the AIs

Armies
1) Few warriors and Sabum Kibittum took Kupe's capital and then went North joined by Hercules to take down Stirling
2) 5 Horsemen went after Ulundi
5) Singapore levy: multiple archers and warriors (later joined by Horsemen from Ulundi front) went after Majapahit (+"Magellan" galley)
3) Mitla levy: 1 galley (upgraded to Caravel) took down Madrid; 3 warriors (upgraded to Swordsmen) went after Wak Kab'nal (+1 other upgraded Swordsmen from Samarkand)
4) Samarkand levy: 3 archers and 3 warriors and Himiko went after Ottawa

- Any surprises you ran into, how did you deal with it?
Kupe used a builder to improve all 3 sea resources in his capital which culture bombed a lot of tiles right before I captured it from him. Thank you!
Right after I levied the Samarkand units, all 3 archers were nearby a river that flooded.
