Welcome to game 179 in the 6OTM Series! These games will allow new and old GOTM fans to try out the new features in Civ6 in a friendly environment. Participants are encouraged to post questions, stories, advice, tricks and failures in the dedicated game threads (described below). Each game will specify the Civ you will play and the Victory Condition to strive for. We will be working to refine the 6otM concept as we move ahead with the series. Gifting of cities is an exploit in a religious VC as the AI cant see that it will lose if it accepts the cities.

Must Read!
We would like to ask you to abide by our most sacred rule: Don’t replay any turns! If you make a mistake, accept it and try to recover. To ensure fair play and prevent results exclusions, please set your Autosaves to 1 turn. In the event of a computer crash while playing, just reload to the previous save and play it as closely to how you played it the first time. Please let Leif know (via Conversation (Private Message)) if you experienced a crash and how many turns you replayed.

Game Requirements: vanilla version of Civilization VI with Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm expansions. All pre-NFP & NFP DLCs are required. New Leader Pass required.

Jayavarman VII - Khmer Unique Attributes:

Leader Bonus: Monasteries of the King- Holy Sites grant Food equal to their adjacency bonus, receive a +2 adjacency bonus from Rivers, grant +2 Housing if built next to a River, and trigger a Culture Bomb when built, claiming surrounding tiles.

Civ Ability: Grand Barays- Cities with an Aqueduct receive +1 Amenity, and +1 Faith for every Citizen Population. Farms receive +2 Food when adjacent to an Aqueduct, and +1 Faith when adjacent to a Holy Site.

Unique Unit: Domrey – Replaces Trebuchet; Unlocked by Military Engineering
Common abilities: Deals bombard-type damage, effective against District defenses; -17 Bombard Strength against land units.
Special abilities: Can move and attack on the same turn; Exerts zone of control.
Special traits: Higher Strength Combat Strength (40 vs. 35). Higher Bombard Strength (50 vs. 45).

Unique Infrastructure: Prasat – Replaces Temple; Unlocked by Craftsmanship
Effects: +6 Faith; +1 Citizen slot; +1 Great Prophet point per turn; +1 Relic slots

That's an incredible start. I don't even know where to place my capital... ;)

One left to settle on the luxury + fresh water or one right and skip fresh water but get very good tiles to work early? One sw would also be possible but I think housing might be a problem there. But given the civ bonuses perhaps not? Or perhaps even settle in place? hmm, decisions, decisions...

I think settle on the luxury then I can get 2 other cities around this natural wonder.
