7.7 Super Starts

So, I've done this now twice with the same effect.

When I start a game and explore around, I'm suddenly finding tons of City State archers, then other civilization archers and workers. I used FireTuner to reveal the map on my second game and it seems that every Civ and City State is getting 9 archers, and the Civs are getting 9 workers. Now THAT'S a head start...

Setup:
Large map, Tectonics script, Epic, 14 Civs, 25 City States.

Mods:
7.7 Beta
CSD v24
Info Addict v15
Tectonics v6
Not Another City States Mod (latest)
Amphibious Assault Ships

By comparison, I had started another game with the same mods, save TBC 7.7 and didn't see this issue...
 
This is likely one of the vanilla bugs: check the Common Problems list for how to work around those. I suspect it's either 3) cache corruption or 4) multiple versions installed. :)
 
Must have been the prior versions installed. I didn't realize that one, but had cleared the cache. Deleted the old versions and the problem has gone away...
 
I'm glad that solved the problem! :)

I'm not sure why or how, but somehow the game loads some data from other versions in the Mods folder even if they're not enabled. It results in duplicate stuff... which leads to the excessive number of units.
