7 grams - DG with AI Armies

Preturn- We have a good set up. Finishing in my turns isn't out of the question, although it is disturbing that even with 86 cavs we are weak against the Maya :eek:

T3 1365

Maya have some forces within our borders, so we demand they leave and they declare, buying us some time to fight before WW hits hard.

We hammer them fairly good, gaining several towns, getting up to 56/56, but it comes at the cost of 20 some cavs. Rng was not kind to us.

IT- We suffer some losses, but actually manage to take out a decent amount of the mediocre Mayan response.

T4 1370

Despite war happiness, we still have a lot of unhappiness, WW near 30% in some places. Lux gets increases to 20% and a good amount of specialists hired in corrupt areas.

We manage to eliminate a good deal of the Mayan incursion, with priority given to the cavs. We suffer only 2 or three lost cavs, 13 set sail to arrive on the new world next turn.

IT- We don’t lose any units, Mayans leave lots of cavs exposed for us to slaughter.

T5 1375

We kill a lot of Mayan crap again, and also manage to sweep up two more southern cities. Once we can make this a one front war its going to be a swift victory, I feel.

IT- We lose one army in the Mayan counter, but lose no towns.

T6 1380

Fairly similar to last turn. More Mayans killed, one Mayan town captured.

IT- Lose a couple cavs.

T7 1385

Kill the Mayans, take a town. Same as usual. Nearly ready to make this war one fronted.

IT- Mayans barely muster a counter.

T8 1390

We take the last southern Mayan town. We can concentrate on their core now.

IT- Same as always

T9 1395

Kill some Mayans, move some troops. Not much else.

IT- zzz

T10 1400

We will begin our attack on the Mayan core next turn. I think I’ll just finish this thing out, as it will be done quick once we get a few more towns and some border expansions.

IT- No real Mayan response.

T11 1405

We take the first of the Mayan core cities. We should be done soon.

IT- zzz

T12 1410

Prepare to take another city.

IT- zzz

T13 1415

Capture two more cities. Up to 63/64

IT- zzz

T14 1420

We are fairly close, so I decide to switch gears a bit and make peace with the Maya after capturing another city and then go and take out the remains of the Ottomans to trigger our victory.

We manage to take out most of their cities, getting us to 66/69. Provided we have no flips, we win.

IT- One Mayan city flips, but expansions make up for it and…….

Summary

We didn’t see any AI armies this time, but it was fun nonetheless. Also for anyone looking at the final save and seeing the uttter mess that is our cities, please realize that I normally don't let cities operate like that. With only 5-10 turns left and victory guranteed though, I didn't have much motivation to micromanage at all :lol:
 
Yes, well done everyone. Maybe it was a bit too easy for us to dicover any new dos and don'ts but it had a few intense moments. Unfortunately the AI did not field any armies and our armies were a bit too strong in my opinion.
