I don't really know. Put me down for someone who watches the games when he notices they are on and has the money.

I'm a guy that goes to just one league game a year, and as many CL and Cup games possible...who sings all songs, even if he doesn't know them, yells at the referee and knows a decent amount of stats and history.

I don't really understand the great kudos given to people who do the same thing consistently for a lengthy period of time, like, in this case, going to all of a team's home games year after year. I'm not trying to say it's something to be ashamed of either, but I can imagine what my partner would say about my parenting skills and effect on our household budget if I sloped off to the match every second Saturday leaving her with the kids....

As a postscript, a 1-0 loss to Sheffield Utd and a 1-1 at Southend later, and Colchester are out of both cups. Season over.

You forgot the all important #9 - "The Collector". The fan who has an entire room devoted to football (and baseball) memorabilia, autographs, sports books, etc. Also has a 52" TV, and has superbowl parties. That would be my uncle.

Fan #11 - The Foreginer2 - Comes from a country where football ranks below curling in popularity. Can't see many seasons match since the only tv station that would show them suck big time. However, every 2 years, he watch the Euro cup and the world cup, cherring for France (yes even in 2002 but it was fun in 1998).

Same here only change "people he knows from the UK" to "people that come from the US"
