I thought it would be helpful for people if we could all share our new build orders for the changes made with Brave New World.

Now the qualifier here is that there is no cookie cutter build order to apply to all situations. What we are looking for here is a starting point for each beginning social policy strategy. The user then must adapt that build order to their current situation.

I think the most helpful would be to first describe which social policy you are going for then describe the build order for that social policy.

To show you what I mean Ill go first for my liberty strategy.

Liberty Start

Scout>Monument>Shrine>Archer>Archer>Worker>Great Library/(if that gets built regular library then National College>Settler>Caravan

Reasons:

Scout first to find ancient ruins, discover City States to receive the meeting gold and possibly faith. Also to get the lay of the land for your second city.

Monument next because it will get you the culture to move through the liberty tree. This will help build your beginning empire for you through the free worker and settler.

Shrine next because you want to start accumulating faith early. Note this should be moved to before the monument if you are in a lot of desert or tundra since Desert Folklore or Dance of the Aurora are very powerful and you don't want them stolen from you, even at the slowing down of culture.

Archers next, although this may get changed. It seems the AI, at least when I have played have NOT been aggressive early on. It may be the lack of trials on my part, but this seems to be the case. If so, I will revise their placement here, but the reason they are here now is to keep early defense from barbarians and the threat of early attack.

Worker is delayed this long because ideally you should take the social policy for the free worker as soon as possible, so you should already have one. This second worker will cement in a very strong capital to churn out a quick wonder/national wonder and then let you churn out settlers very fast.

Great Library is here with a caveat. I play on emperor, so it is possible for me to get. I don't know if this is possible on harder levels so will the experts please confirm/correct this. By building this you first catapult through the tech tree, increase your research, and position yourself with a free library to then build the national college. While staying this long with only one city seems against liberty's strategy of sprawling empire, you are building up a capital that can rapidly build settlers once these two/one wonders are finished.

Upon finishing the national college you will have a large well developed city to quickly produce a 3rd settler after getting the free one from the liberty policy. you can then build a caravan to start making money with one of your 2 new cities.

I recognize that there are flaws with the above since Im playing at emperor and not deity, so please offer your improvements or outright better opening build orders for Liberty and the other beginning social policies.

I've found that Liberty has definitely been strengthened with the expansion. My particular build order is, with Liberty chosen,

-Scout
-Monument
-Warrior
-Granary
-Shrine
-Library
-Pyramids (now an easy wonder to get, and with the Liberty policy will net you 3 workers for your empire which is a huge boost)
-Settler (by then I've probably unlocked the settler-related policy within Liberty)

Each city after that starts with Warrior, Monument, Granary
