I have stumbled into this......
XP service pack 2 as a way to secure your computer comes with something not most people realize.
MS included a "data execution prevention" {DEP} patch. It keeps programs from "intruding" into areas (ie memory) that according to MS only Windows needs.
When something gets into these areas, it creates an "xml error".
I have turned this off, and no longer have crashes in ver.1.52.
