From memory this is a faction that I used during my SMAC and SMAX days, I would just like to get people’s thoughts on it. As soon as I find my SMAC CD (I have my Alien Crossfire CD) I'll recreate it and try it out so I just wanted feefback from other fanatics. My friend started play SMAC again after he got bored with CIV and it makes me want to play again as well.

Kingdom of New Albion/Chiron
King Marius Abendroth Quote: “Land is power” (hmmm who does that sound like)
+2 Support +2 Growth: Is a militaristic agricultural bases society adopting old traditions to survive on a new world. Each colony is a semi-independent fief of the Talent governors who rule on the kings behalf and hold hereditary titles. The governors in turn are in charge of other Talents who divide the area around the colonies into smaller units which they rule over. The governors are also in charge of their colonies defense as well as providing troops for the factions standing army under the command of the king. They pride themselves on being hardy, self-sufficient, and living simply and put a large emphasis on family and community. (Free Children’s Crèche or Recycling Tanks) or maybe Both
-1-2 Efficiency: High corruption and the decentralized nature of the kingdom cause inefficiency. -1-2 Research: Valuing simple living and a resistance to progress and change cause new innovations to be embraced more slowly then in the other factions.
Likes Planned Economy not sure what it should shun, maybe knowledge
( A modern Feudal Society supporting a governing aristocracy and a military class based mainly on self sufficiency and community, local production and agriculture, with rampant corruption and anti-intellectualism/traditionalism. It could be anywhere between a benevolent fatherly state with limited democracy but defined classes where the martial aristocracy have more rights then the general population and some in-equality. On the other end it could be a brutal dictatorship ruled by an absolute monarch and an extravagant aristocracy that rules over its population with an iron fist.)

Other ideas are for +/-industry or +morale and no free building, -1 planet little regard for planet itself/ see it as a resource to be exploited +industry from their economy being tuned for supporting a large army or -industry as the emphasis is on agricultural. +morale for their society being partially bases on having a well trained and equipped military class lead and made up both the aristocracy and the commoners.

In the end it would be
It was +2 Support +2 Growth -1 Efficiency -1 Research +Free Building (I tried the tanks first but it seemed to powerful)
Or
+2 Support +2 Growth -1 Industry -1 Efficiency -2 Research +Free Building or two
Or
+2 Support +2 Growth +2 Morale -2 Efficiency -2 Research no building

Abendrothshire
A shire is an area, not a town or city.
New Gibraltar
Gibraltar is in the south of Spain. Along with the Falklands, it's one of Britain's last colonies. But I don't see it as an "Albion" name or place. Gibraltar is culturally more Spanish than British. Also, it's not an island, it's a bloody big rock
