a fun new strategy game I found but never could beet civ.

I played Travian on server 2 for a while with some friends from another civ site. It was fun to grow, build, and raid for a while, but the game becomes repetitive. Basically, this is how the game works:
1. At first, all is well and you think you actually have a chance.
2. Members from the big alliances who started in the very beginning and have 10 more cities than you wait for you to grow to a good size.
3. They wipe out your military easily.
4. They then continually farm you multiple times per day for resources.
5. You get bored, and quit.
That's what happened to basically all of us that played. It's too unbalanced for a game, IMO.
