Just a observation: is proved by science that lightspeed engines are impossible. Was better then to put a portal technology (jump gates and such) in its place, like that of the theory of hiperdimensional trips.

Lightspeed is impossible, but 99,9999999% of it is possible. But we dont know what will happen in the future...

Anyone for the fun purposes can come up with any sort of pseudo-scientific explanation for it I think.
