Some people find that competitive Civ 6 is kinda boring as the Deity AI doesn't pose enough of a challenge except in the early game.

So, to make the game more challenging, the idea here is to play each Civ thematically. Feel free to modify, but here's my basic list:
England: Only 3 cities allowed on your home continent. Every city beyond the third must be built on another continent. Perma-war with Scotland, until the modern era.
Scotland: No archer units as they're unmanly, and every city must be built on a hill. Perma-war with England until the modern age.
Aztecs: you're not allowed to build builders of your own, and the last charge of a builder must be used in a sacrifice. Perma-war with Spain and any other Meso civs (like Inca in the expansion).
Sumeria: You must beeline for Corps, and are not allowed any cavalry other than Warcarts. Historically, Sumeria never got knights or Tanks. Perma-war with Scythia.
Scythia: You're not allowed to attack anyone who is friendly with you. Also, you're not allowed to chop forests as you believe that animalistic deities live in the forest and do not wish to be disturbed by angry people with axes. Perma-war with Sumeria.
Russia: the only religion you're allowed to adopt is Eastern Orthodoxy. You're not allowed to attack anyone with the Eastern Orthodoxy religion. Perma-war with Mongolia.
China- Perma war with Mongolia. You must have at least 5 cities at pop 15 by Industrial.
India- As Gandhi you cannot start a war with anyone. As Chandy you must start a war with any close neighbors.
Khmer: every city must have an aqueduct and a Holy Site.
Germany: You must declare war on every city state that you meet. Also, for government you must adopt Monarchy, then fascism, then lose at least one major city in a war, and switch to Democracy.
France: In the medieval era the only military unit allowed is knights. If any of these knights are damaged by an English archer unit it automatically disbands, UNLESS it's within the Great General radius of Joan of Arc. Perma-war with England in the medieval and Renaissance era. The first district in any city must be a theatre square. Otherwise, the only building you can build is a monument.
Indonesia: Every city must be on a coast or an island. Starting in the medieval era, declare war on anyone who doesn't have a coastal city.
Dutch: Every city must be on a river and within 3 tiles of the coast.
Rome: Perma-war with Carthage. Once you hit the Medieval era you must disband all of your legions as they've become obsolete. Also, the first five ships that you built must be disbanded within 10 turns of being built, as they've been lost to storms.
Greece: The only ancient/classical era military land unit you're allowed is your UU. Your first district in any city must be either a campus or a theatre square. You must build the Oracle.
Alexander: You must declare war on any civ with a World Wonder. Perma-war with Persia. No archers allowed, and the only district allowed is Encampment.
Persia: No infantry unit allowed other than the immortal and your starting warrior. Perma-war with Alexander. Also if any of your units are damaged by a Greek unit on Greek territory, it must be disbanded.
Japan: Only religion allowed is Shinto-ism or Buddhism. No knights. Sailing as first tech, first 3 cities must be by the coast, and must improve fish before anything else. Perma-war with Korea. Must raze half the cities they conquer.
Korea: You cannot conquer any foreign cities, though you can raze Japanese cities. Perma-war with Japan
Vikings: You must raze at least 3 cities with Berserkers by the Industrial Era.
Zulu: For land military, you're restricted to spearmen class units.
Mapuche: Perma-war with America. You can only pillage or raze cities. However, you're allowed to keep the city if you get it through loyalty flip.
Nubia: Every city must be within 3 tiles of a desert.
Egypt: Any unit damaged by a Persian, Roman, Greek, or Macedon unit on YOUR territory is automatically disbanded. You must build the Pyramids.
Mongolia: Perma-war with Russia. For everyone else, you must declare war on them within 15 turns of meeting them on Normal speed. Only cavalry-class units and archers allowed. You're allowed to build siege units only AFTER you conquer a neighboring civ.
Georgia: You must build at least 3 of your unique UB's before Industrial era.
Brazil: You must have acquired at least 4 GP by the Renaissance.
Kongo: Every city must be within 3 tiles of a rainforest.
America: You must spend the first 10 turns of the game doing nothing (build a military unit and disband it) as your civ starts later than anyone else's. Perma-war with Mapuche.
Poland: Only religion allowed is Catholicism. Any unit damaged by a Russian or German unit in the industrial or modern era is automatically disbanded.
Arabs: Only religion allowed is Islam (so if that's been founded before you get your GP, that's too bad). Once you get the Islam religion, you must convert at least one other city to it every 10 turns. No conquest allowed until you have Islam.
