Lefty does not do cute, and most christmasses does the 'Bah! Humbug!" routine. I do try another role occaisionally. One year with my hair and beard down to the shoulders, I bleached them white and wore a Santa Suit all December. Got lots of offers to sit in my lap. In January I then dyed it red and wore viking braids.

I think you guys are over exaggerating the avatar loading times. If it really does take that long, then every smiley would add a minute to loading time

I don't think we need bigger avatars, most people can get their picture down to the proper size without too much trouble and making the avatars bigger would just be superfluous.

Really, it's fine as it is. I'm glad that CFC doesn't have those annoyingly huge pictures as signatures.

I would have to sympathise with that. I am a 56k user. I beleve that we should keep the kB limit but expand the size limit to 70 * 70. Most everyone can get a freeware program that would create a *.jpg image to be lower in size.

No, I think it'll mess the forum up, and short posts would be double length on the screen, if avatars were bigger.

There is room to spare, so as slightly larger avatars will not make post windows bigger.

If the avatars become as large as the current Civ3 ones there will not be a problem. I remember the privateer one (my old avatar) was quite large and everyone said that should be the maximum size for avatars.
