(If this is in the wrong sub-form for such things, mods, pardon me and send this thread to the right one)

Welcome to a Old Soldier's Tale, a little something to hopefully entertain you and help train me in the world of writing, Gamemastering and such things like that. This is a roleplay thread in which you lead a somebody from humble beginings all the way to retiring with a Heroic life lived... Or, at the least, not die before you're sixty-four.

Now, since I am lazy, and I want to get the game started, I will let you all design the character for me, like a real Gamemaster would. I do not mind much, you could even just be unoriginal and just make the character Washington if you are not willing to bother as well! Just do not expect him to be president, at least not at the start if you're lucky. Also, do not expect the world to be set in real life or elsewhere, as it's made up on the spot, to a extent.

This post will be changed, mainly to show how your poor soldier is doing as far as the newest post, so look back here for his or her mental and physical updates:

Now, let's begin, shall we?

The sun dawns onto the town, waking the locals up, one of who is you. You are currently on a chair, the same one which you borrowed from a local cafe and slept on during the night. You rubbed your eyes as you examine the surroundings, in front of you is the road to the Town Hall. To the left is a road which leads to the town's gate, and the outside. To the right is the cafe you borrowed the chair from, The Freelon's Desserts. The owner, Stoni Freelon, is a old buddy of yours, and can be trusted on for a day under a roof, twenty-four seven. The reason why you didn't go and hog one of his beds is because you're coming out of retirement, and behind you, the local recruiting center for the Army, is your ticket back into the fame and glory of better days. Now, hopefully you remember your name, I mean, how would you even get around without your name?

Mr. Gloriosus is often called Miles by his friends.

Probably belongs in forum games section.

(Couldn't find that the first time around, I'll get a mod to move it)

Mr. Gloriosus is often called Miles by his friends.

Ah, that's right, Miles Gloriosus. In spite of your surname being treated as a joke, you weren't bothered enough to get it changed. As you remember, you see a tall half-elf catching his breath in the middle of the street. He's just dressed in the average civilian clothes, wearing a flat cap on his head. Since the door to the recruitment center is now open, you should return the chair and go in.
