A possible loophole for vampire castles

I noticed in my last game more evidence of the “secret” societies being, well, not-so-secret. We’ve known for a while that you can see the various unique buildings between societies, but I also noticed that you can observe higher than expected yields from HO member’s leylines. This leads to an interesting loophole for the vampires. They would really, really like to stick their castles next to juicy leylines to get the yields, else their best hope is a volcano or natural wonder. Unfortunately, they can neither see nor enhance them.

Fortunately, with yields turned on, you can spot them. If they happen to be near a border, you are permitted to park your castle in neutral territory (or even your own, if lucky!) and potentially scoop up the yields as your own.

Can anyone confirm this works? I was voidsingers at the time.

That would be so bad, like taking the blood and lifeforce of... Oh wait that's the whole point !

I think on reddit someone tried it in team games, one can see ley lines and the other teammate build vampire castle, and iirc it works.
If it was from this thread, then it's still unclear whether it works or not. While the Castle yield reflected those of the Ley Line on the map, according to the poster it only did so when it was outside his friend's territory, and even then those yields weren't reflected in his capital. Once the tiles were claimed in his territory the Ley Line yield on the Castle disappeared on the map. Just from that one observation, it seems like it's only a visual glitch when outside your territory.
