Ok for the past week Ive been playing as Bannor with 5 or 6 other civ opponents. For almost the entire game everything was peaceful. Everyone had a Neutral alignment due to religious conversions and what not. The only civ that differed was lead by Faeryl Viconia. So naturally I built up a large army and decided to attack her. Strange thing is virtually every other civ declared war on her within the next 4 or 5 turns. Knowone had any form of Alliance so WHY DID THIS HAPPEN??? I just dont understand why EVERYONE wanted a piece of her empire but waited until I lead the charge.:crazyeye:

BTW this is a single player game

This happens if the AI decides that the opponent is too strong for it alone, but a war is o.k. if several other Civs fight it too. Had it several times in normal BtS that the war request was redded out, saying "We are afraid of their military might" - but after my DoW the AI was willing to be bribed...

^^^The thing is I did not bribe them to join the fight they just all went postal on there own:p

How do you bribe another civ to join you in a war in FFH2?

I used to do that all the time in vanilla, but, in FFH2 it seems like the choice to declare war on someone is ALWAYS red-lined. So, you don't even have a chance to bribe.

This is including civs that have the same religion/alignment as I and trying to get them to go after other civs with different religions/alignments.

We may be on Friendly terms with each other, and Annoyed or worse with the civ in question, but the declare war is always red-lined.

Not for me, I can bribe them normally.
It's called warscript, when civ is engaged in war other civs will seek to dogpile it and take their territory.

could have been a council matter? that, or one of the first AI attackers started bribing in others

Could it just be that the leader in question doesn't like declaring war for money? I find it fairly easy to bribe, say, Tasunke into a war.
