Hello all. I want to know if there is a way to make the size of an existing map slightly larger, like adding two rows of grids etc. Or is a map size permanent once it is made? Thanks.

i don't think that there is

Load the map in Conquests editor(Civ 3 editor if Vanilla), do what you want with the map, and re-save it.

i know that, i think he meant that he made a map but wants to make it bigger.
also you can permanently change map sizes. is that what you want

No I want to change the map size in the editor. I want to add two more rows of grids on the bottom.

You would need to 'draw' the entire map on a larger 'canvas'. A rather tedious process, as it would mostly be done one tile at a time.

Having the map seed might help. Then he'd just have to make it a few rows higher. Might mess up some other stuff. Never tried using the seed from one map size on another map size tho.

Hmm dow exactly do I get the map seed, and how do I change it so my map becomes slightly larger?

Assuming you're playing a game, CivAssistII will be able to give you the map seed. I think if you try and generate a new world, you can also see the map seed there too. Then just increase the X rows by two.
