Thoughts of a Simple Fisherman​

Standing on a rock in the river, standing perfectly still is Hu Ug, a fisherman of Uz’Ug. While waiting for a fish to come close enough to spear he has time to contemplate life, the sky, and the origin of life.

Hu Ug my name. I am fishman. I fish for tribe n family. Fishing gives many moments for think.

I think of the sky fire and how it flies like the birds. I think it must have taken a might n big man to throw so high n far as that. N I think about the sky man, his stare all night watching over us. What he think? More than me, I mere Ug. What fish think when fish sees Ug n Ug see fish? Does he think I think?

I think next day I make big face with rock so sky man knows we think. Then he may answer my question.

What it mean, all this. Greens grow, fish swim, Ug do all kind of things. We must be good to do some many things. Where we come from. Uz Ug come from far, but we here when he come. What was before? No one know. Maybe sky man one day say, but now I see he stay quiet. All I know, I tired n got catch fish before sleepin.​

The next day Hu made a big face with stones in the grass outside of the village. Coming home from a long hunting expedition, the face caught the eye of Jau Ug, who liked it. The next day, together, they improved it. Although the moon never spoke to them the village decided they liked it. Any visitor from other villages was always asked if they liked it or not. The village decided that if ever there was enough spare time they would build a large hall to show their prowess to other Ugs. They never discussed what the purpose of the hall would be.

The story of Leafus, The Ram and Bunides The Rabbit


During the blue Time[Winter] The tribes elders sit in the Orange Shut [House of Fire] and tell stories. This is the one about how we have the northern star, hunt rabbits, and why the ram is our sacred animal.


There once was a Ram named Leafus. Leafus lived in the Ramite fields. Only rams were aloud in the Ramit fields. A yound Rabbit by the name of Bunides came to the fields in the afternoon. Every day when the Rams were sleeping. One day Bunides came and Leafus saw him. Leafus asked him why he was there. Bunides said that he needed the rich Carroits that were there to feed his family and group. Then a Ram woke up and sounded the alarm some one was in the fields. Every ram woke up and saw Bunides. They were going to kill Bunides for being in the fields, but Leafus felt sorry for him and said he brought him here. Leafus and Bunides were kicked out of the field forever. One day Leafus and Bunides came across A new creature. Men and they needed food to. So they asked if they could Have one of them to save Man from all deing. Since Leafus saved Bunides life. Bunides said that they could eat him. Leafus felt so bad that his friend died that he asked the gods if he could help Man to. So the gods told Leafus that it was to dark in the sky at night and they needed a star to brighten it up. Leafus said that he would be a star. So the gods lifted Leafus up and he become the Northern star.


This is why we hunt Rabbits. have the Norht star and the Ram is our sacred animal.

Oh god no! I am about to go to bed (I live in England, its 23:04)
I will not be able to do it tomorrow either. I first take my partners parents to the airport, then am going to lunch with a friend, and finally am celebrating the end of exams with some friends. Sooo.. Update will be at the least, 2 days away.

I am sorry it is not faster, but even though the updates are simple(ish) so far, it will get increasingly harder, and I still have a Real Life to lead!

The Albioni

A people of neither martial, nor particularly pastoral tendencies, the Albioni are governed by a tribal council resulting mostly from worship of the sun. This council is made up of shamans or priests, and governed by a high priest of sorts who handles all matters, though he delegates to his councilmen.

Skills: Basic Construction, Basic Farming, Basic Furcraft

Location: Put me on the eastern river, further down towards the sea.

Color: Purplish, but no particular preference. Possibly a shade of red or blue.

Population Division: 15 Warriors, 10 Women

You can start with 25. Women, or warriors, you divide it as you wish.
Also, pick 3 skills for your tribe to begin with.. there is a list in post 2.

I'll then need fairly detailed orders for what you want your 25 people to do, with the skills they posses (trying stuff they don't know generally fails) over the next 50 years.

Read through other peoples rules, and look how Update 1 went.. a little mistake can be quite costly over 50 years!
(I am thinking breeding age at 15, death by 30)
