? about planes

In game I am playing I have some bombers and airports.
Just what is the move key for planes to move from airport to airport, or do you need a aircraft carrier to move planes into battle.

Firstly you don't need airport to move a plane to that city. the command is shift-r i think but it is also in the second command line of bottons.

Hi.

The planes can be moved to every city you want or to a carrier. Normally I use the "rebase" button available for the mouse click.

You can also use the "move units in stack" or "move units of type in stack" buttons. Saves a lot of time i've found, specially when you've over 100 bombers. Heh.

(Pity it was on warlord... i'm tryin to move to regent, but it scares me)

I just zoom out, hold down shift-r, and rebase like crazy. It's fun to fill the AI's territory with craters, take out every unit, and every improvement in 1 turn, and they STILL won't talk!

Rebasing has a range-limit. You cannot send planes to a city on the other side of the world in 1 turn, you need 2 or maybe 3. I'm not sure an group-auto-rebase-key exists. I think Chieftess' suggestion works the easiest in reality.

Now if there was such a key for Group-Bombarding then it wouldn't get boring to bomb a SoD with 200+ stealth bombers for 6 consecutive turns. Auto-bombard doesn't work as the stack moves...

I never had this issue in C3C, may be because i mostly play standard maps only, but i was always able to rebase plane to any city to any continent in just one turn. and I use planes a LOT

It's not as big a problem on standard maps. but planes do have a maximum rebase range of 6 times their operational range IIRC. Try the WW2 in pacific then will feel that limit.
