Now I remember someone explaining it a long time ago, and when I go to search in the forums it tells me Im not allowed to. So my question is, does anyone have a link to an explanation for scoring? I think it was based on population or military strictly per age. Please help.

Thanks in advance.

The game calculates your score every turn, by looking at population and territory. The score displayed on the histograph is the average score of all your turns. So being dominant in the end game may not be enough to overcome a terrible start. Hope that answers a least part of your question.

Strictly speaking, population doesn't really come into it. It's the amount of content and happy citizens which makes a difference.
Also, and the end of the game, the computer takes away the year you are in from 2050, then multiplies it by the difficulty level as shown:

Chieftan - 1
Warlord - 2
Regent - 3
Monarch - 4
Emperor - 5
Deity - 6

So in example, if it were 1900AD, and you had just won a Warlord game, it would be calculated like this:

(2050 - 1900) * 2 ====> 300.

The 300 number would be added to the average score per turn thingie to give yer final score.

Hope that helps :)

Note: BC is counted as being negative, so effectively you add whatever BC year you are in to 2050.

Yeah, i think that helps. I knew it was something along those lines. Just couldn't remember. ThankS!
