I kept asking for more and more for ONE TECH I got him up to 75 gpt and then he said "I would never accept such a deal" but he was agreeable in 5 gpt increments up until then.

I eventually had to get it down to 40 gpt before he's accept but if I had made the deal at 70 gpt I would have bankrupt him...

What is your question?
I don't really follow your explaination. :(

It seems to me you are saying you offered say Fission for 40gpt and then upped it by 5gpt increments until you got to 70 gpt and then he wouldn't go for it.

Then I don't follow what you are saying....
You had to lower it to 40gpt to get the deal. Why didn't you back down to 65 gpt?

You mean it works in 5gpt increments?

I asked him for 40 gpt and I kept bumping it up in 5 gpt increments, he agreed all the way to 75 gpt then said he's never accept a deal, I had to go back in 5 gpt increments until he finally agreed at 40 gpt, but theoritically had I not pushed it past 70pgpt he would have accepted and probably bankrupt him. I should have mentioned that someone else reported this bug in a previous post

I havn't ever noticed the bug but then I've only played a short bit with the 1.29 patch. Why not wait until next turn and then offer the tech at 65gpt ?

last night i sold scientifice method to the american for 205 gpt. This was in the latest GOTM.

admittedly i was the only one who had it and I was i a war with all other civs, allowing abe to sell it off to everyone else as he sees fit.

but still, over 200/turn? it allowed me to be in monarchy and keep my slider at 100% science until the end of the deal.

How is this a bug? It sounds like reciprocal bartering to me. You went too high, he called your bluff and brought the price down again.

I saw something similar:

The AI wanted a tech for 2 gpt, but I tried to renegotiate it. I offered the same deal but I wanted 5 gpt and he said no way, so I said 3 gpt and he said no way, so then I offered 1 gpt and he said no way! But at first he was willing to pay 2 gpt:confused:. I think this has to be a bug, I can't imagine that it is supposed to work like this.
