Got that too, log file hasn't been updated since before the v1135 update but i have completed a Spain victory in the NewWorld scenario along with Treasures, Eldorado, Potosi found, etc... and *DID* receive 4 proper achievements in the regular listing.
Thus, i can't track out all other stuff.

Well do we know if its a Steam-Civ5 interface issue, or just a Steam issue? If its a Steam issue, this bug could take quite a while to fix.

The file not being updated is a file written by Civ 5. The achievements are being awarded by steam. So no problem with Steam, Civ is still recording the achievements and progress internally, it just is not writing the log file for us to see.
