Yeah, I kind of didn't want to hear the outcome of that, even though you delayed it by the skin of your teeth.

However, I don't think that has anything to do with the mod itself, with Monty and Wu around, things would be tough regardless :lol:

There's a bit of a rule of thumb, if it's hard for the person who made it, then it's gonna be at least three times as hard for the person who used it
 
Will be interesting to see how the non-science VC's will be able to compete with SV now that you've balanced things out Acken! Love the mod so far but will wait to dl it until you've worked out the SP trees to a point where you're really happy with them. (Ratio mainly I guess)

Anyhow, really cool stuff there! Amazing mod by the looks of things
 
Culture wins now seem more interesting because there's no point in going Rationalism now. Or perhaps with the increased culture generation, it might be viable again.

Buffed melee units and nerfed cities look scary though, it might turn the early game into 'kill or be killed'. Good luck fending off Impis on steroids though

Actually Impi didn't got buffed because I did not touch Pikemen :) But yes Impis still will benefit from weaker cities. You probably can fend them off with Longswords now though.
 
Hmmm no unless I'm unlucky I have never seen the AI conquer that fast. In fact I have never seen it win by domination on standard size and considering the lot of Autoplay I do for DCL maps that's a good sample :p

My mod is getting close though, I had Rome missing only one cap once before launching.
 
The Greece let's play is finished with a Domination victory. All parts should be uploaded.

The mod is also released (see signature). For a while let's plays on my channel will keep featuring the mod since I get more fun out of it lately (more options, bigger challenge).
 
I watched the LP's and now realised i made so many mistakes :aargh::shake:. The Inca SV shows how much i dont know this game. Science overflow and bulbing great writers and artist in the right timing. I dont understand a lot of things in there. I always bulb immediately for great works. I never made landmark improvements. Totally poor understanding of the game :mad:
 
NEWLet's try the Community Balance Patch - Rome Deity

Between playthroughs and working on my mod I present this let's play of the Community Balance Patch (full package without more luxuries) playing on the NQ version of a Pangea. Version is the one from end january and you can find the mod on civfanatics. Difficulty is standard, and size standard. RAs are activated and tech trading disabled as well as vassalage.

I just wanted to say that I hadn't seen your videos before as I'd taken a long break from Civ. But I had to come and post a comment...

That Brazil Deity (CL22 I believe?) where you didn't settle for *8* turns was the ballsiest thing I've ever seen in Civ. :)

I learned a lot from just one video. Thanks! Keep up the great work!
 
Hey Acken, you are the best player I've seen on Youtube, way better than those famous youtubers. Can you make a demigod/deity defensive science victory let's play with the latest version of your mod? I'd really like to see your strategies. Thank you!
