Action Buttons on the Right?

OK - I have played Conquests for more hours than I am prepared to admit. However, today something happened for the first time. My Unit Action Buttons suddenly appeared on the right side of the screen rather than on the bottom. Very disconcerting. Any ideas how to get them back?

Just hit, IIRC, backspace.

edit: just checked, it is backspace

As well the delete button will toggle them on and off the screen.
