Except that since Schwarzenegger is in favor of Civil Unions for gays, your accusation of hypocrisy do not stick
There are plenty of reasons for a Californian to be worried of having Schwarzenegger as governor, but this is not one of them.

Hey, I admire the man's struggle for advancement on the social ladder. I mean, he is the epitome of the American dream. Sure his body was/is one mean SOB but it sure brought in the cash. It's a struggle, you know - every step of the way. And he has come this far only through hard work. So I don't see a reason to smear a hard-working man.
