I am looking at using Pounder's Resource File for additional resources in my Naval Mod, I am looking at adding 2 or 3 strategic resources and at least one luxury resource, which will keep me well under the limit of 32 strategic and luxury resources. I am trying to figure out the best way to add the strategic resources to the list of strategic resources and the luxury resource to the luxury resource list.

Is it possible to insert additional resources into those lists using either Steph's or Quintillus' editors, or is this a case of replacing one resource with the new one and then adding the removed one further down the line.

For the present, I am going to use existing Civilopedia and Pediacon entries for the added resources. Later on, when I get a little more courage up, I will add them to the Civilopedia and Pediacon lists. I am proceeding with all deliberate tortoise speed.

Timerover, are you looking to add the new resources so that they are between existing resources rather than being added to the end of the list? If so, this can be definitely be done with Steph's editor.

That is correct. I am trying not to put them at the end of the resource list. I have been adding additional bonus resources, which is taking me past having only 32 total resources. With Pounder's Resource File, I have been adding things like Temperate Fruit, Sheep, the Potato, and a variety of Whales and Fish, along with Fish Ponds for the Flood Plains. Most of these become available as the game progresses. Somewhat like what TETturkhan did in Test of Time, but not quite to the same degree, as least so far.

Here's how to move resources around in Steph's editor.

1. Open your scenario with the editor. (Scenario Editor>File>Open Scenario)
2. Find the GOOD - Natural Resources tab and click on it to open. This will open the resource list.
3. You can add resources with Steph's editor, but if you are more comfortable with the normal Firaxis editor, you could add the resources there first, save, and then open the scenario in Steph's editor.
4. Find the resource that you want your new resources to be moved below. For example, let's say you want to move Iron 25 from the end of the list and place it right below the regular iron resource. You would go to the regular iron resource, right click to open the menu, and choose the selection 'Set selected resource as insertion point'.

5. Now go down the list to the resource you want to move. In this example, we're going down to Iron 25. Right click on this resource and choose the option 'Move selected resources after insertion point'. You can do this one resource at a time, or you can select multiple resources by holding shift or Ctrl while clicking.

You can select new insertion points as necessary to move things around. There can only be one insertion point at a time, and it will be highlighted in yellow.

Wow, Anthony, I did not know that Steph's would do that. Thanks for the fantastic advice and screen shots. This will really speed things up. Now I have you to add to the list of those helping me with the mod.
