If I downloded some modular civs and made a mod strictly of modulars, how do I add things like diplomacy sounds (for the leaders, which happen to be modulars) to them and have them work in the game?

Also is there a simple way to quickly plug in Veritas Derilect or Ethnic City styles in with the modular civs?

How can you mix and match mods together, adding to modulars?

If you're adding modulars to modulars, they should work right out of the box. Things might get complicated if you make some depend on others (ie new civs using VD artstyles), though, and if this is the case I recommend trying the WoC mod, which tackles this. However, to plug in VD, just copy over the files. Ethnic Citystyles should slot in, too, provided you haven't made any changes to the files it edits in the XML directory.

Diplo text and sounds are a different matter. They can't be made modular, so you'll have to edit the audio files in the mod's XML/Audio directory, then you're free to reference them in your modular files.

I hope I've been clear. I might have missed some details or made things confusing. If so, feel free to ask more questions.

By the way, I'm sure avain will hate you for calling his mod derelict  It's Varietas Delectat, which is Latin meaning "Variety is pleasing" or (more eloquently) "Variety is the spice of life". :)
