Additional Civilizations (by DJSHenninger)

Please, a real imperialist would claim for Maximillian I or Iturbide as the one true leader for Mexico. :D

Being honest though, having a Mexican Empire civ would be honest to goodness interesting, it'd certainly differ a lot from the two other already existent Mexican civs.

Interesting? Only with plans focus. I don't really find anything really interesting other than that(and Benito Juarez) about modern Mexican history(no offence amigos).

Yeah definitely either Diaz or Maximilian, one was power hungry ruler who would stop at nothing at his attempt to devlop mexico into a regional power and the other one was an franco-german emperor so why not?

I was actually considering Iturbide.

BYZANTIUM UPDATE:

Overall:
- Added support for Sovereignty, True Alternative Leaders & Mercenaries
- Added Dynamic Top Panel support for some Civilizations

Justinian I:
- New trait, building and unit effects, based on the cultural/construction aspect of his reign

- Aplekton provides XP during Golden Ages to all Units (+1 XP for every two Aplekton)

Michael VIII:
- Added base 3% chance of getting GP choice (trait)

(probably forgot some things)

It already does IIRC.

Wow... I am actually pretty flattered from the complete rework you did for Justinian, which I guess is from my criticism? :D
I have already played all of them for the most part other than (reworked) Justinain and enjoyed them all, mostly because I am a warmonger.

I am pretty sad at the news of you leaving the modding scene in the near future, just make your Will obvious because you have a massive amount of civs that you have created. :p

Finally I can subscribe to this at once! Although I was starting to get used to the old Basil I dont think this new one is going to require that much adjustment :D

I've seem to run into a bug with the Byzantine split. When I click on them (using TAL), I can't scroll down to see them all. I am using a few other mods, but I can scroll down fine in other parts of the selection screen. If I click on them, I can still play fine outside of that.

(Also, are they all in the Southern group?)

looks good. Is there any way to make it work well with jfd's?

According to Natan, this mod is compatible with Alexios. I haven't tested it myself, though (I forgot). Anyway, I've made sure Theodora's trait is deactivated if Alexios is activated, so JFD's trait will be used instead. I'll give it some proper testing soon-ish.

One reason is that Justinian remained unmentioned. Another, more important reason, is that there were too many militaristic oriented Byzantiums.

Well, I'll probably not leave in the near future, since releasing these updates will take a long time :P

Hopefully :p

With 'other parts', you mean other civilizations? I'm quite sure I've done nothing wrong, I can scroll down just fine. Probably either a mod conflict or maybe you didn't install TAL the right way, or you don't have the latest version. I'll double check whether I can scroll down to Theodora.

If you are referring to Cultural Diversity, they're in the JFD_Mediterranean group.

As of the last update to CulDiv, the Mediterranean group was split into JFD_Classical and JFD_Southern. This means JFD_Mediterranean doesn't exist anymore. I did setup a failsafe, but no guarantees it'll work. Of course, it's up to you into what group you decide to put your Byzantiums. I think I'd go with a mix of JFD_Southern for the main, JFD_Classical for the splash screens, and JFD_Eastern for the music.

Theodora should be classical, though.

I seemed to have gotten it to work, but I had to disable CulDiv. The same bug happened when there weren't any mod-civs activated, but turning off CulDiv got it to work fine.

Do you have the latest version of CulDiv? If so, might wanna let JFD know, if you haven't done so already :0

For some reason, Serbia crashes the game upon founding the first city if it's active. The only changes between the last game where things were fine and the current issue is that I updated Mercenaries, the Byzantium Pack, and JFD's Enlightenment civ updates.

Edit: Whoops, forgot you had two Serbias. Dusan's the only one I have.

I can't imagine any of them conflict with Serbia. Dusan's Serbia grants a free unit when founding a City, through a dummy building, so perhaps somehow one of these mods/updates tamper with any of those attributes. I didn't copy/paste anything from Serbia for Byzantium. I'll try to figure out what's wrong, if I don't forget, and if I have some time.

Bug report for Justinian, after choosing the second option in the Nika riots I lost the 2 pop but could work the same number of tiles. So I continued to have 2 extra workable tiles. Didn't get the logs but it should be easy to replicate.

Well, that's weird, lol. I think I'll just remove the penalty, and reduce the bonuses somewhat. I don't think it's something that can be easily fixed.

Has anyone else seen Rumney Wine as a regular Luxury Resource on the map? I've been having reports, but I can't easily replicate such a problem. I might have fixed it, but I can't be sure.

I... Didn't. At least, not anywhere near me.

(And its so annoying when the AI uses the unique GP for tile improvements... Such a waste)

Byzantium update:

- Fixed new added City Names
- Fixed Cultural Diversity Support
- Compatibility with Alexios I improved
- Text issues with Events
- Issue with Population Cost for Justinian I's Event
- Hopefully stopped Rumney Wine from spawning
