Adjacent or linked? (supply convoy)

Greetings Fanatics!

So do Ballons and Supply Convoys give the bonuses they offer (range +1 or move +1) if they are 'linked' with the unit or do these only work if adjacent?
Seems silly to not allow the bonus to be had if the Convoy is linked up with the unit.

Keep in mind my Siege towers worked if linked to the unit and now as a convoy it says 'adjacent'.

So do the perks of the support units apply if linked?

Yes, they work regardless of whether they are linked or one-tile adjacent. Same goes for Medics and Drones.
