However showing numbers how much the attitude rise given a given gift, though helpful, takes away a lot of immersion from the game. I'd rather see such information hidden and dependant of a number of, to the player, not known factors. Some of these factors could then be vaguely described in the manual, guessed by logical reasoning and tested to conclusion by some ambitious player.

They should provide complete and thorough information on how the game mechanics work and no information whatsoever on how the AI works.

If the AI/ Simulated Intelligence's routines are complex enough then an 'open-book' policy needn't necessarily advantage players to any great degree - after all, even doctors of psychology cannot render perfect judgement - in fact, they can be as fallible as the half educated idiots that make up the majority population :goodjob: :) In fact, I have had reason to wish for the imperfect judgement of a half educated idiot, as opposed to self-serving arrogant ignorance masquerading itself as a Doktr of Sikology.

Unfortunately, AI is still not nearly neat human standard - at least, not one that we will get... As that would probably require a few more years of effort, and solely devoted to AI.

Since we're not going to get that, at least it sounds like we will be able to tease and tweak the AI to our unending and diabolical glee :satan:
