Advice on which conquest to play.

Hello all,

After a little messing around I finally got Conquests on my computer. I have lightly brushed up on my skills at Regent and Monarch. And I was wondering what conquest you good people would suggest I play first.

I like the Middle Ages the most, but I like most of them.

I liked WWII Pacific alot. The AI isn't very good at it, tho.

The Middle Ages, Rise of Rome and the Napoleonic Era are the three best Conquests, IMO. Age of Discovery and WWII - Pacific Theatre are both pretty bad because the AI has no idea how to play the scenario.

The Rise of Rome scenario is probably best to play first as I feel that it suffers less from human vs AI exploitation than some of the other scenarios...

 

[Gengis Khan]

I recommend Sengoku, as that conquest is the furthest removed from the "normal" epic game. 75% of the units, improvements, and advances are different so you'll constantly be checking the Civolopedia. It makes for a great intro into the conquests.

 

[Rik Meleet]

I like sengoku the best, because of the daimyo-upgrade and the fast tech-speed. You have to stay focussed at all times.

P.S. I once lost a sengoku game because the captured city my Daimyo was in flipped ...
