After End of Game Video Doesn't Play...WHY??

Hello all!

This is my first post on Civ Fanatics, yet I have been reading the fabulous and helpful articles and whatnot for weeks!

I have gone from Chieftan level and finding the game "impossible" to now Regent level and winning with ease. Next is Monarch....

Anyway, I have noticed a bug or problem with some of my games. It seems that about 2/3 of the time after I finish a game (win or lose), the video that shows the history of what every civ did throughout the game on the world map doesn't play. The game does not lock up or anything, I can click on stuff and the sounds play, but the video never plays, no matter how many times or how long I wait after click on the play button.

I tried searching but could not find anyone else with this issue. Am I the only one?

I am using Windows XP with all the latest updates and Civ 3 v1.21f.

So, can anyone help me?

Chance is it's not a bug -- it just takes a very long time for the game to process all the data and replay the turns.

Next time try letting it sit there for like 20 minutes after clicking that Play button...

Thanks for the help, it does seem to happen more when I play on a large map for a long time, which equals more data.
