OK, firstly, I must add that I play the game on mostly Settler or Chieftain difficulty because I don't like to lose. I am a newbie in this game and my strategy sucks big time!
I tried to play on the King's difficulty level but always end up losing. Finally, I played on a very tiny map, with no city states or barbarians and took the Chinese. England was my opponent and I won by conquering the capital city! At last! I am so happy but I know that this is nothing compared to a Deity victory. However, this is a great encouragement for me.
Now I am keen on improving on my gameplay and don't wish to play on the Settler, Chieftain, or Warlord level.
How do I go from here? I am sick of crushing my opponents on Settler difficulty and by playing on Settler difficulty most of he time, I don't learn anything much.
Thanks! Civilization 5 is much better than Total War Shogun 2 by the way in terms of the depth of gameplay! It is like playing chess!
