Emperor Moctezuma decided to help out his European brothers by declaring war to the Netherlands as well. We are aware that our contribution to the war effort will only be a trifle, but we hope it will lend some "moral support" to the French and the British. Two Jaguar warriors attacked a Dutch Longbow platoon outside the French town Sault Ste. Marie. The first one had to retreat fully bruised and wounded (1/4), but his companion finished the highly skilled European soldiers by attacking from behind.

The news of the first great victory over a very advanced European military force was received in Aztecia with so much joy, that the entire country began celebrating and working at double speed! The supervisor of the construction work currently being done for the Temple of the Sun expects to finish this great building 5 years faster than originally planned.

Emperor Moctezuma is asking the King of France, whether he would be willing to tell his scouts to allow a little room for our troop of settlers to pass through. We assume that these men are standing there only "accidentally" and not on purpose?!

After helping out against the Dutch, it would surely not be fair to deny the Aztec people the fruits of their hard work they put into building the long road north, especially as the French king certainly has enough horses for his men?!
We can assure him that this town will be the furthest point north we will settle. Otherwise we won't interfere with his plan of settlement in Northern America.

Thanks for the game, Hawklord.

My main reasoning for participating in the alliance was the fear you were about to run through Lisbon and Porto, it wouldn't have taken much, with your power. It appears this wasn't your plan. And of course the unprovoked (in my view) attack!

France is well ahead but we are not yet 1/3 of the way through, a lot can happen!

My reason for attacking Portugal is the one that proved true. I needed saltpetre otherwise my troops would get stomped. Unfortunately they got stomped before I could make use of it

I think France was getting ready to invade the rest of us, and now you will pay the price. Who was that worker, a royal prince or something?
