AGGHH! why does every game crash at some point!?

I have a pretty new pc and every game of civ 3 ive played has crashed at some point! sometimes its fairly early, others (like my latest game) was late in the modern era. During the computer civs turn the game will just freeze and up pops the window that says "there has been an error.have to close". Even if i go back and change what i had done in the previous turn it still crashes at the same place! For example when a chinese frigate moves past one of my ships it crashed. If i go back and move my ship the game still crashes when the chinese boat moves. Each time i play it is a t a different point. ITS SO ANNOYING cos ive spent so much time on tis game and just about to launch sum nukes (the fun starts!). anybody know whats going on!?

Is it a standard game or have you done any mods?

thomson, you are going to need to include a LOT more details if you expect actual help. Also, this doesn't belong here, go put it in civ3 tech support so you can get help.

You shouldn't use nukes... they're bad. Also, saving often helps alleviate this problem.

sorry if its in the wrong place guys. Its a game played on the earth map with real starting locations.But all other custom map games do the same maybe thats why.

It's ok. But you might want to use the private message feature and click on the name of one of the MODs listed at the top of this forum's page and ask them to move it there so it will get proper attention. The MOD's names are PaleHorse76 and Cunobelin of Hippo
