Aggie vs Wildfire444

Hmm, so large scale troop buildup now then? :satan:

Well this isn't good. Someone hasn't entered the industrial age.

*scared*

Sipahi's don't do much vs infantry do they?

Well, I believe you need 3 IA techs to get Replacable Parts, and then you need to have the cash to upgrade your Muskets (Riflemen are a deviation from the tech line, and and unlikely tech choice for Aggie).

I guess 25 turns is about enough to do that. :hmm:

Sipahi with artillery support is unstoppable.;)

That could be true against the AI... but I'm playing against someone who isn't that stupid ;)

If I try to invade with sipahi's/artillery/infantry, he is just gonna draft, and of course bombard me back.

I'm currently playing against Aggie now. He's with the Ottomans and I'm with the Chinese. Since we are both on separate continent, it would be impossible for an invasion with raiders. Therefore, that leave me with only one option: my cavalries support by artilleries and infantries against his sipahis and whatever else he has waiting for me. Hopefully, I will prove once and for all that artillery is still the best unit against an intelligent human player.;)

Well raider's are never good against Sipahi's. Now if you had attacked during the early middle ages...

Like you said, Aggie is very smart!;) He already made sure that I won't be able to attack him before he gets Sipahi. By hiding in a continent far far away, he's safe until the end of the Middle Age. Since he is also scientific and getting free tech, what chance do I have to get Navigation before he gets Sipahi? Absolutely no chance at all!

I can imagine that Wildfire :) But when I saw you at war I immediately responded, beause I then still had the idea that domination was allowed.

Stupid, me...forgot to post in this thread

Well, I prepared for war in 1000 AD and built up units as from 800 AD. In 680 AD I got Nationalism as free tech, which allowed me to draft units. Thoery of Evolution and Replaceable Parts followed in 960 AD. Unfortunately for me at that time, WF stole that ;)

Still I had enough units at the start of the war. 35 cavalry and 95 infantry. But I had to defend a lot of cities, since WF controlled two parts of the continent:

So I decided to go for the western front first, which WF defended with Sipahi:

After this turn WF had a lot of war weariness. This did cripple his production and eventually forced him to concede.
