yipee yipee the comp I'm on (which I'm on half the year roughly) Won't load the 1525 turn SAV file, and the turn-chat is coming up, and I'm the trade department leader.....could someone help me out, as to tell me what is wrong? I loaded the 1.21 patch....

Reboot. Unzip the save file into your save folder for Civ3. Overwrite if necessary. Start the game and try again. When you start the game again, make sure it says version 1.21 in the lower left hand corner.

You could try renaming the file. If it has a comma in it, sometimes it refuses to acknowledge it. So, try raname it to *.sav. ('*' being any word)

I have tried rebooting adn reinstalling and reinstalling the patch and uninstalling and bla-bla but I will look for 1.21 and try renamin it.

I can't even load civ 3 anymore! It says something is wrong with binkw32.dll I found that, and it's there! but it says it still can't find it , ARGH

remove Civ3 from your hard drive thru your control panel, then reinstall civ3.

Civ III does not uninstall correctly after the updates have been applied. You can uninstall it for real by following the instructions in this post.

still won't work, I even did readme troubleshoot, nothing will do it, it's hopeless! (cries)

Are you using a...er...full strength version of the CD? If you got the game from one of those "discount" sellers you will not be able to play the game after applying the patches. There are certain sites that have a workaround for this problem.
