AI have completed MP but they dont work uranium tiles and they dont have nukes. Is this a bug???

Even though it's silly form the logical point of view, MP does not require any uranium. TheKingOfBigOz is right. AI won't be able to create any nukes, though.

Even if they're not aiming for war or space, the AI will tend to build Manhattan and Apollo just because, even if they don't have uranium for nukes or aluminum for parts.

And yeah, the Manhattan Project itself doesn't need Uranium, just the nukes it allows.

Even if it did require Uranium to build the Manhattan Project, they could get it from City State allies.

It appears that the AI will build a city in a location early in the game where there are no visible resources. Later, when the appropriate tech is completed, a resource will appear. I believe this is more of an attempt to prevent human players from getting the resource more than the AI will actually use it.

I've noticed this and it's a fairly long-time AI 'advantage' they've had since Civ3 when resources first came into play.

It's basically a way to give the AI a small advantage because they don't perceive the map in the same way a human does and needs help directing where to settle.

I'm ok with this.

It's somewhat exploitable if you just look at where the AI settles and hope it will pop resources later, as it's not always the case (sometimes the AI is just filling dead space) if they REALLY need to grow for other reasons, but with ICS mostly under control, it's not like there's a shortage of land early on. Nor do you want to settle a city very far out of your way just to beat an AI to it.

It's situational that I will want to rush a settler to a spot to beat an AI, and that's mostly if it's a spot near or in my core that I already want to settle anyways.

Sometimes I found a city, and later on discover that there was a late-game resource near it and I was already working the tile with a mine! I must have the same power as the AI

Read differently: in civ3 and civ4 the AI could see all resources in advance, but I believe the developers said that they removed this ability in Civ5. So these instances might just be coincidences, or it might be the developers lied to everyone. Which is more likely?

It's quite possible. Do you have a link to point this out?

Not doubting you on this, but I'm always interested in AI systems in Civ and developer interviews are the only time we get insight into how some of these things are designed :)

It was somewhere in these forums.. I'll try to find a link with some google-fu but I can't guarantee anything lol. (hence my "I believe the devs said"...)

you don't need sixth sense to do that, just click a settler and check all yellow suggestions. I've had one on empty tundra saying near strategic resources, before that resources shown.
