Gehennas
Warlord
I've found several related topics, but I haven't found any answer to my question and nobody have written about the same issues I've encountered.
What's the real difficulty of hotseat games?
I have played a hotseat game with my friends and found the following (difficulty - emperor for all of us, played for about 120 turns):
1. HG and Chichen Itza can be built easily without prioritizing proper technologies. On king you really need to make a slingshot for these wonders.
2. At the moment of turn 100 my army consisted of... 3 archers and a pikeman. My nearest neighbours (Caesar and Bismark) haven't DoW me.
3. BTW these two were in a war with each other for a long time without any success. Both had 3 cities and completely ignored free terrain around.
4. On turn 110+ Kamehameha finally founded his 4-th city. Wow...
5. One of my friends was on a really huge continent with 3 another civs. At the moment of turn 120 Askia had 2 cities, Hiawatha had 3 cities. The half of the continent (in the middle) was uninhabited.
6. Askia had a huge army (more than 10 units) on the border with my friend's Inca, when my friends had 1 spearman and one slinger. Askia patiently waited while my friend hard-builded an army. BTW Askia made really stupid things during the war.
I really sure that in hotseat AI acts on warlord difficulty and completely ignores settings. Is there any way to fix this?
