Another "stupid AI" moment. Late in my war with Saladin the AI sent a camel archer to attack Mecca which was defended by a CG1 Longbow, a C1 Maceman and a C1 Pikeman. All had the maximum fortification bonus and Mecca was on a hill. It was a 9.9% odds attack against the pike. There were no other units sent with the camel archer and it seems extremely optimistic thinking that the camel archer would survive long enough to take out all three of Mecca's defenders.
To recreate load the save game and press End turn.
